Quick guide

  1. Download the Lockii app.

  2. Sign in with the same email and password as the web app.

  3. Select your company if you belong to multiple.

Allow push notifications when prompted so you get alerts for inbox items even when the app is closed.

Manage a booking

  1. Open the Bookings tab.

  2. Tap a booking to open the detail view.

  3. Edit customer, dates, lines, and pricing.

  4. Access sub-flows for payments, forms, and activity.

Record payments and Revenue Recovery

  1. Open a booking and tap Payments.

  2. Tap Add Payment, choose a method, and enter the amount.

  3. To charge a saved card, pick Saved card and select the customer's card.

  4. If the charge fails, tap Enable Revenue Recovery to let Stripe keep retrying the card automatically.

  5. For an existing failed saved-card payment, open the payment details sheet and tap Enable Revenue Recovery.

  6. Retrying payments show the next attempt date on the payment row.

See Revenue Recovery for Failed Card Charges for the full guide.

Approve booking change requests

  1. Open the Inbox tab when you receive a Booking Change Request notification.

  2. Tap the notification to review what the customer wants to change.

  3. Check dates, location, items, price difference, or cancellation details.

  4. If the change includes a payment, tap the Payment row to see amount, status, and payment method. Tap Copy Payment Link to share a payment link with the customer.

  5. Approve or reject. For paid changes, choose whether to charge the saved card, send a payment link, or apply without charging when agreed.

  6. For cancellations, set the refund percentage before confirming.

See Managing Booking Change Requests for policy setup.

Manual pickup or return on-site

When staff hand an item over in person instead of the customer using the self-service flow:

  1. Open the booking and tap the menu.

  2. Choose Manual Pickup or Manual Return.

  3. Add an optional reason.

  4. If your booking flow requires pickup or return photos, attach them by taking a new photo or choosing one from your library.

  5. Confirm. Lockii updates the booking and stores any photos on the record.

Photo options only appear when you have photo requirements configured in Settings → Booking Flow.

Booking activity and comments

  1. From a booking detail screen, tap Activity.

  2. Scroll the timeline of booking events, sent messages, and team comments.

  3. Tap any activity event to see a full before/after breakdown of what changed.

  4. Type in the floating comment bar at the bottom to leave a team note.

  5. Type @ to mention a teammate. They get an inbox notification with a preview of your message.

  6. Long-press a comment you posted to delete it.

@ mentions work in comment fields across the app, including modals.

Open a booking from the inbox

When you tap a booking notification in the Inbox tab, Lockii opens the Activity screen directly. You land on the timeline with the booking number and customer shown at the top, so you can read what happened and leave a comment without extra taps.

Push notifications for booking events work the same way. Tapping the alert opens Activity for that booking.

Return notifications open the booking Forms screen so you can review pickup and return details.

Customer activity

  1. Open a customer from Search or a booking.

  2. Tap Activity on their profile.

  3. Review their history and leave team comments from the floating bar at the bottom.

Identity and insurance verification on a customer profile

When identity or insurance verification is enabled for your company, you can manage both from a customer profile in the app:

Identity verification

  1. Open a customer from Search or a booking.

  2. Scroll to the Identity verification section.

  3. Tap to generate a verification link, then copy or share it with the customer.

  4. For verified customers, tap to view the Stripe verification session.

  5. Use Mark verified or Mark as unverified when you need to override the automated result.

Insurance verification

  1. Open a customer with an active confirmed booking.

  2. Scroll to the Insurance verification section.

  3. Tap Send insurance link to generate and copy a link for the customer.

  4. Tap View insurance verification to open the report for verified customers.

  5. Use Mark insurance manually verified or Remove insurance verification when needed.

Customers still complete verification in their mobile browser. The app is for your team to send links and check status on-site.

See Connecting Stripe Identity and Connecting Insurance Verification for setup.

Contact a customer

  1. Open a customer from Search or a booking detail screen.

  2. Tap Call or Text on their profile.

  3. If you have QUO (OpenPhone) connected as your SMS provider, Lockii opens the QUO app so you can call or message from your business number.

  4. Without QUO, the buttons use your phone's default dialer and Messages app.

Quick actions

  • Create a new booking from the quick actions menu.

  • Open a booking directly from an inbox notification.

  • Use the header menu on a customer profile for New Booking, Block Customer, and other actions.

  • Mark bookings as manually picked up or returned from the booking detail screen.

Settings

  • Switch companies and manage notification preferences (including comment alerts) from the settings screens.

Tips

  • The mobile app syncs in real time with the web app. Changes appear instantly on both.

  • Use inbox swipe gestures to quickly clear notifications while on-site. Swipe left to mark read, swipe right to delete.

  • Capture pickup photos during a manual pickup when you require condition evidence on every hire.

  • Connect QUO if your team handles support calls and texts from OpenPhone. It keeps customer contact in one app when you tap Call or Text from a customer profile.

  • Handle booking change requests from the inbox so paid changes do not sit pending while you are on-site.

  • Use @ mentions in comments instead of texting teammates separately. Mentions land in the same inbox as overdue and return alerts.

  • Generate identity or insurance links from a customer profile when a customer is on-site and needs a nudge to finish verification.

  • Enable Revenue Recovery on a declined saved-card charge so Stripe keeps collecting while you are on-site with other hires.

  • Copy payment links from change request payment details when a customer needs to pay for an approved booking change.
