Maintenance Management

Schedule service windows, block availability, and keep your fleet in good shape.

The Maintenance section lets you schedule service and repair windows on stock units. While a maintenance block is active, the item cannot be booked — protecting you from accidental hires during downtime.

In the app: Maintenance

Quick guide

View maintenance jobs

  1. Open Maintenance from the sidebar.
  2. Filter by status:
    • Ongoing — currently in maintenance
    • Upcoming — scheduled for the future
    • Unscheduled — flagged but not yet planned
    • Past — completed jobs
  3. Click any row to open the detail page.

Create a maintenance job

  1. Click Add Maintenance in the header.
  2. Select the stock unit(s) affected.
  3. Set start and end dates for the maintenance window.
  4. Add notes describing the work (e.g. "Brake service", "Tyre replacement").
  5. Save — the item is blocked on the Schedule for those dates.

Edit or complete a job

  1. Open the maintenance record.
  2. Update dates, notes, or linked stock.
  3. When service is done, adjust the end date or mark complete.

How maintenance affects bookings

  • Maintenance blocks appear on the schedule timeline alongside bookings.
  • Customers checking availability online will not see the item as available during maintenance.
  • Lockii sends maintenance due notifications to your Inbox when scheduled service is approaching.

Tips

  • Schedule maintenance during low-demand periods using the schedule view to find gaps.
  • Use descriptive notes so your team knows what work is needed when they open the item.
  • For indefinite maintenance (e.g. item written off), set a far-future end date or leave unscheduled until you're ready to plan.
