Locations are the hire sites where customers pick up and return your equipment. Each location stores its address, operating hours, GPS zone, access instructions, and optional site access lock.
Lockii uses location settings to route customers, detect GPS returns, and personalise automated messages.
In the app: Settings → Locations
Go to Settings → Locations.
Click Add Location, or select an existing location to edit.
Enter the location name and address. Lockii geocodes the address and shows a map.
Adjust the GPS zone on the map (see below).
Add access details, an optional access lock, operating hours, and any other fields you need.
Click Save.
Each location opens in its own editor page so you can focus on one site at a time.
The map on the location editor shows a pin and a shaded circle around your site.
Drag the pin to fine-tune where Lockii considers the item "home" for GPS tracking. The pin stays within 2 km of the geocoded address.
Drag the circle edge to set the zone radius between 50 m and 5 km. The default is 1 km.
Lockii uses this zone for GPS-assisted pickup and return detection. When a tracker shows the item inside the zone, Lockii can mark the booking as returned automatically once the customer also submits the return form.
Widen the zone if your return area is spread out. Tighten it if you want Lockii to only confirm returns when the item is close to the exact pickup point.
For gated or enclosed sites, assign an access lock and write short access details (parking, gate location, keypad position).
Customers receive a site access code before their item lock code. See Customer Location Access.
Paste your Google Business review link on the location. Lockii uses it in automated message templates via the {{location.review_link}} variable, and shows it directly to customers after a positive return on their booking confirmation page.
When a customer completes their return without reporting issues, they see a Share Your Experience prompt on their confirmation page with a Review Now button. You can also include the link in post-return emails or SMS so customers can leave feedback without staff chasing them.
Use the Positive experience rule on a communication if you only want review requests to go to customers who had a smooth return.
Operating hours — control when customers can book and pick up at this site
Tax rate override — optional per-location tax rate when it differs from your company default
Archive — hide a location from checkout without deleting its history
Location setup is managed in the web dashboard. The Lockii mobile app does not include the location editor today.
Set the GPS zone before relying on automatic GPS returns.
Keep access details short. Customers read them on their phone at the gate.
Add a Google review link on every active location so Lockii can prompt happy customers automatically on their confirmation page and in your messages.
Assign products to locations from each product's detail page after the location exists.
