Lockii's online checkout is the customer-facing booking and payment flow. Customers select products, choose dates and a location, add optional extras, apply coupons, verify their identity (if required), verify their insurance (if required), and pay via Stripe. All without staff involvement.
Customer URL: https://book.lockii.app/{your-company}/checkout
Setup: Settings → Website & Embeds
Browse — customer finds a product on your website widget, hosted page, or instant book link
Select dates — pick hire start and end within your operating hours
Choose location — select the pickup/return site
Add extras — optional add-on services (insurance, equipment, etc.) in the order you set in Settings
Apply coupon — enter a discount code if they have one
Enter contact details — phone number fields pre-select your company's default phone country when configured. Returning customers can sign in with a one-time email code to use saved payment details.
Accept terms — customer confirms your terms summary before continuing to payment. They can open the full terms and privacy policy from the checkout page.
Verify identity — complete ID check if you've enabled Stripe Identity
Pay — Stripe checkout with card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Signed-in customers with saved cards can pay in fewer steps.
Confirmation — booking confirmed with a link to pickup details and lock code
Verify insurance (if required) — after payment, customers who still need insurance verification complete it on the confirmation page before lock codes are issued. See Connecting Insurance Verification.
Agree to terms — after payment, customers review and confirm your full terms and privacy policy on the confirmation page before pickup. Lockii records this agreement and unlocks pickup once complete.
After payment, Lockii loads the confirmation, pickup, and return pages faster. Customers can move between those pages without waiting on full reloads, and booking details stay up to date in the background.
Products with multiple photos show a gallery when customers open a product from your browse page or checkout flow.
Customers swipe or tap arrows to move between photos.
Thumbnail images along the bottom let them jump to a specific photo. The strip scrolls automatically to keep the selected thumbnail visible when you have many images.
The first photo in your product gallery is the cover image shown in listings.
Add and reorder photos from the product editor in your dashboard. See Managing Product Photos.
Checkout uses a two-column layout on desktop: contact and payment forms on the left, order summary on the right. On mobile, customers expand a collapsible order summary at the top. This keeps pricing, dates, and extras visible while they complete the form.
When a product uses tiered pricing, customers can tap the price on the product card or checkout panel to open a Pricing Breakdown.
On desktop, a popover shows each tier name and price.
On mobile, a full-screen sheet opens with the same breakdown and a Close button.
This helps customers understand daily, weekly, or custom tier rates before they pick dates. Hourly products show the base hourly rate instead.
When pricing modifiers apply to the selected dates, each modifier appears as its own line in the breakdown.
Connect Stripe Payments
Set Default phone country under Settings → Company Details so checkout pre-selects the right country code for your market. If left unset, Lockii falls back to your currency-based default.
Add your terms and privacy policy under Settings → Preferences → Customer checkout terms. Lockii shows the short summary at checkout and the full document when customers agree before pickup.
Embed widgets or share your hosted browse page
Optionally enable identity verification, insurance verification, and add-on services
Place a test booking on your live site before going public. Use a real card and refund yourself.
Express checkout (Apple Pay / Google Pay) significantly improves mobile conversion.
If you enable both identity and insurance verification, customers complete identity first, then insurance, then agree to terms, then receive their lock code.
Reorder add-ons in Settings → Pricing Details so your most important extras appear first at checkout.
See Ways To Implement Lockii for embed options.
See Customer Accounts for saved payment details and the account page.
