Customer Accounts

The customer account lets returning customers sign in, see all their bookings with your business, and pay faster on future hires. Lockii handles sign-in with a one-time email code. No password to remember.

Customers get a single place to open confirmation pages, manage active hires, and reuse saved payment details. Everything runs automatically once you embed the account on your site.

Customer URL: https://book.lockii.app/{your-company}/account
Setup: Settings → Website & Embeds

How it works for customers

  1. Customer opens your account page or taps My bookings on your site

  2. They enter the email address they use for bookings

  3. Lockii sends a one-time sign-in code to that email

  4. They enter the code and land on their account dashboard

  5. Active, upcoming, and past bookings appear as cards they can tap to open the confirmation page

  6. From any confirmation page they can pick up, return, extend, or change their booking using your existing self-serve flows

Customers can also sign in with the same email code during checkout when they book again.

Saved payment details

When a customer signs in at checkout or on their account, Lockii can securely save their card for future bookings with your business.

  • At checkout: signed-in customers with a saved card skip re-entering payment details and pay in fewer steps

  • After booking: on the confirmation page, Lockii can prompt customers to save the card they just used (within 30 minutes of booking). They sign in with the same email code to confirm

  • Consent: every sign-in surface explains that they agree to your privacy policy and consent to saved payment details for express checkout

Saved cards are tied to the customer record in your Lockii account. Staff can charge a saved card when approving booking changes from the back office.

Lockii now finds all reusable saved cards for a customer, even when past checkouts attached cards to different Stripe customer records. Returning customers are less likely to lose access to a card they saved earlier.

Quick guide for operators

Add the account to your website

  1. Go to Settings → Website & Embeds

  2. Copy one of these embed codes:

    • <lockii-account> for an inline account page

    • <lockii-account-button label="My bookings"> for a popup button

  3. Paste the code on your site where customers expect to manage bookings

Embedded account widgets resize automatically to fit your page layout.

Set up terms and privacy

Add your privacy policy under Settings → Preferences → Customer checkout terms. Customers see it when they sign in and when they agree to terms before pickup.

Mobile experience

Customer accounts work in the mobile browser on any phone. There is no separate customer mobile app. The account page, checkout sign-in, and booking cards are all designed for mobile screens.

On the full account page (not the embed popup), signed-in customers can tap Website to return to your main site or Log out to end their session.

The Lockii staff mobile app is separate. It is for your team, not for customer account access.

Tips

  • Put a My bookings button in your site header so returning customers never hunt for confirmation emails

  • Pair the account page with Find My Booking as a fallback for customers who are not signed in

  • Saved payment details improve repeat booking conversion. Make sign-in easy at checkout by offering the email code option when a returning customer enters their email

  • Customer identity is tied to email. Once a customer verifies their account with an email code, Lockii keeps their profile and saved payment details linked to that address. Checkout will not overwrite a verified customer's details when someone else enters contact information.

  • Test the flow: sign in, confirm you see past bookings, book again with a saved card, and complete pickup without staff help
