Lockii's online checkout is the customer-facing booking and payment flow. Customers select products, choose dates and a location, add optional extras, apply coupons, verify their identity (if required), verify their insurance (if required), and pay via Stripe. All without staff involvement.
Customer URL: https://book.lockii.app/{your-company}/checkout
Setup: Settings → Website & Embeds
Browse — customer finds a product on your website widget, hosted page, or instant book link
Select dates — pick hire start and end within your operating hours
Choose location — select the pickup/return site
Add extras — optional add-on services (insurance, equipment, etc.) in the order you set in Settings
Apply coupon — enter a discount code if they have one. Lockii matches codes even when customers type spaces, hyphens, or mixed case (for example SAVE-10, save 10, and SAVE10 all work for the same coupon).
Enter contact details — phone number fields pre-select your company's default phone country when configured. Returning customers can sign in with a one-time email code to use saved payment details.
Accept terms — customer confirms your terms summary before continuing to payment. With the default Checkbox method, they tick a box and can open the full terms and privacy policy. With Signature enabled under Settings → Contracts, they open the full agreement, type their name or draw a signature, and tap Sign & Accept before paying.
Verify identity — complete ID check if you've enabled Stripe Identity
Pay — Stripe checkout with card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Signed-in customers with saved cards can pay in fewer steps.
Confirmation — booking confirmed with a link to pickup details and lock code
Verify insurance (if required) — after payment, customers who still need insurance verification complete it on the confirmation page before lock codes are issued. See Connecting Insurance Verification.
Agree to terms (if still required) — when a customer has not yet accepted your full rental agreement at checkout, they review and confirm it on the confirmation page before pickup. With Signature enabled, they sign again on this page. Lockii records the agreement and unlocks pickup once complete.
After payment, Lockii loads the confirmation, pickup, and return pages faster. Customers can move between those pages without waiting on full reloads, and booking details stay up to date in the background.
If you set Customer acceptance to Signature under Settings → Contracts, checkout works like this:
Customer taps your terms summary row at checkout (or the pencil icon under Apple Pay or Google Pay).
A panel opens with your full rental agreement and privacy policy.
Customer chooses Type or Draw, enters their name or draws a signature, and taps Sign & Accept.
Lockii records the signature on the booking and lets them continue to payment.
If the customer still needs to agree after payment, the confirmation page shows the same signature flow with a Sign & Agree button.
Lockii stores the signature on the booking timeline. Staff can download a terms proof PDF that includes the typed or drawn signature for insurance or dispute records.
Checkbox remains the default. Use Signature when you need a signed agreement on file for every hire.
When customers pick hire dates and times online, Lockii only shows times that are actually bookable at the selected location.
Closed days and hours from your operating hours do not appear as selectable times.
Blackout dates block the affected windows automatically.
Your maximum booking length limit applies at checkout so customers cannot pick a hire that exceeds your cap.
Customers see fewer dead ends and clearer errors when a date truly is not available.
The same bookable-time filtering applies when customers extend or reschedule from their manage booking page.
When customers pick a pickup site, Lockii can show how far each location is from their current position if they allow location access in the browser.
US accounts (USD currency or US default phone country) see distances in miles or feet.
Other accounts see kilometers or meters.
This helps customers pick the closest depot without calling your team.
Products with multiple photos show a gallery when customers open a product from your browse page or checkout flow.
Customers swipe or tap arrows to move between photos.
Thumbnail images along the bottom let them jump to a specific photo. The strip scrolls automatically to keep the selected thumbnail visible when you have many images.
The first photo in your product gallery is the cover image shown in listings.
Add and reorder photos from the product editor in your dashboard. See Managing Product Photos.
Checkout uses a two-column layout on desktop: contact and payment forms on the left, order summary on the right. On mobile, customers expand a collapsible order summary at the top. This keeps pricing, dates, and extras visible while they complete the form.
Field errors appear directly under the relevant input and scroll into view, so customers can fix mistakes without hunting for a generic error at the top of the page.
When a product uses tiered pricing, customers can tap the price on the product card or checkout panel to open a Pricing Breakdown.
On desktop, a popover shows each tier name and price.
On mobile, a full-screen sheet opens with the same breakdown and a Close button.
This helps customers understand daily, weekly, or custom tier rates before they pick dates. Hourly products show the base hourly rate instead.
When pricing modifiers apply to the selected dates, each modifier appears as its own line in the breakdown.
When a product uses period pricing, Lockii stacks hour, day, week, and month rates automatically and shows the calculated total.
Connect Stripe Payments
Set Default phone country under Settings → Company Details so checkout pre-selects the right country code for your market. If left unset, Lockii falls back to your currency-based default.
Add your terms, privacy policy, and acceptance method under Settings → Contracts. Lockii shows the short summary at checkout and the full document when customers accept.
Embed widgets or share your hosted browse page
Optionally enable identity verification, insurance verification, and add-on services
Place a test booking on your live site before going public. Use a real card and refund yourself.
Express checkout (Apple Pay / Google Pay) significantly improves mobile conversion.
If you enable both identity and insurance verification, customers complete identity first, then insurance, then agree to terms, then receive their lock code.
Reorder add-ons in Settings → Pricing Details so your most important extras appear first at checkout.
Set operating hours and blackout dates before launch so customers only see realistic pickup windows.
Keep Checkbox acceptance unless your insurer or legal team requires a signed contract on every hire.

See Customer Accounts for saved payment details and the account page.
