This release is Maintenance V2. Parts, fleet health, work orders, customer issue reports, and a maintenance report now live in Lockii, including on mobile with voice inspection logs. It also includes more reliable booking times, faster product photo galleries, and a few day-to-day fixes.
Maintenance is built around parts. A part is a check you care about on a unit, such as tyres, a winch service, or a battery. Add one from a stock item, or select products and add the part to every unit of those products at once.
Each part can have several rules. Lockii uses the most serious result.
Calendar days - Flag the unit a set number of days after the last check.
Bookings - Flag it after a set number of completed hires.
Booked hours - Flag it after a set number of hired hours.
Meter reading - Flag it when a reading is at or above, or at or below, a number. Built-in readings include hours, distance, lock battery, and GPS battery. You can also post your own readings.
Meter stale - Flag it when a reading has not updated for a set number of days, such as a lock that has not synced or a tracker that has not connected.
At will - No automatic trigger. The part stays quiet until someone checks it or reports an issue against it.
Each rule has a soft down point, and an optional hard down point.
Soft down is a warning. The unit stays bookable, and Fleet Health shows it needs attention.
Hard down takes the unit out of circulation. Lockii blocks it on the schedule the same way a booking does, and opens a work order for that part.
GPS Tracker and Smart Lock parts are created for you and stay editable. A tracker soft-downs at 10% battery or after 5 days without a connection. A lock soft-downs at 10% battery or after 60 days without a sync. These only apply while that device is on the unit. Change the thresholds, or archive the part, and later updates will not overwrite what you set.
Fleet Health, under Maintenance, is the workshop view.
See the fleet, then narrow it to hard down, soft down, or open issues.
Filter by location, product, category, part, stock item, or customer-reported issues.
Report an issue from the same screen.
Sort stock around reported issues when you are deciding what to service first.
When maintenance is on, a banner lists new stock that still has no parts.
Meter readings - Integrators can send readings for a stock item, or for a meter you can move between units, with POST /api/v1/stock/:stockId/readings and POST /api/v1/meters/:meterId/readings. Send only the keys that changed, such as hours or distance_km. Lockii merges them and rechecks the parts on that unit. Lock and GPS battery and last-seen values update on their own when those devices sync.
Work Orders, under Maintenance, is the job list. Open jobs sort by urgency.
Create a work order with a stock item, priority (Urgent, High, Medium, or Low), assignee, notes, and photos. Dates are optional, so you can log work that is not a calendar block.
Block the calendar when it should - A hard-down job with dates keeps that unit out of availability until the job is done.
Checks - Record which parts you inspected on the job, add a custom check, and attach photos to the check.
Costs - Log a name and amount on the work order, and optionally tie it to a booking and to the parts involved. Those amounts show up as repair spend on the maintenance report.
Lock access for the job - Generate a PIN for the unit lock and the location access lock for the maintenance window, or tap Unlock on a connected smart lock.
Activity - Comments, status changes, and checks stay on the work order timeline.
Complete without a date - Mark the job done when the work is finished, even if it was never scheduled.
Filter the list by All, Ongoing, Upcoming, Unscheduled, or Past.
Who can use this is controlled by Manage maintenance under Settings → Manage Members.
The Lockii mobile app has a Maintenance tab for the same jobs, plus voice inspection logs you record while you are standing next to the unit.
Work orders in the field - Jobs are listed by urgency. Filter by All, Ongoing, Upcoming, Unscheduled, or Past, then narrow by assignee, location, product, or priority. Tap + to create a work order. Stock, dates, assignee, and priority each open their own picker, so you are not typing the whole job on a phone keyboard.
From a stock item - Open a unit to see its parts, how close each one is to due, battery and last-sync readings, and any open issues. Start a work order that is already tied to that unit. From the same screen you can move the unit between locations, change its lock, pin, tracker, or stock ID, open its QR code, unlock a connected lock, or archive it.
On the job - A work order shows the unit, any booking clashes, the inspections, and the activity timeline. From the bottom bar you can mark it done or reopen it, add a comment, or unlock the unit lock and the location access lock.
Voice inspection logs - On a work order, tap the microphone and talk through the inspection. Name the parts you checked and what you found, for example worn tyres, a good winch cable, or a missing strap. Tap stop when you are done. Lockii transcribes the recording and writes the log for you. Each part you mentioned gets an inspection note for what is good, worn, damaged, or missing. A finding that is not one of the unit's parts is saved as its own inspection, with a short title and note. Parts you did not mention are left as they are. If that part already has a note on this job, the new note is added underneath it.
Inspect by hand - Tap Inspect on the same bar to pick a part, write the note yourself, and attach photos. Voice and manual inspections show up in the same list on the job.
Customers can report an equipment issue during a hire from the booking confirmation page, and from pickup and return. They pick the unit, an optional part, how serious it is, and what happened.
Issue records the problem and leaves the unit bookable.
Soft down flags the unit and leaves it bookable.
Hard down takes the unit out of circulation and opens a blocking work order.
Turn on Publicly reportable on a part if customers should be able to pick that part. Staff can report the same way from Fleet Health or the stock item, including parts that are not public. A hire can still be reported when the unit has no parts set up.
Analytics → Maintenance shows how the fleet is wearing, for the dates, locations, products, and parts you filter to.
Fleet health - The share of units that can stay in service, charted from issues and blocking work orders.
Issues opened - Customer and staff reports in the period, with the previous period alongside.
Downtime - Hours units were hard or soft down.
Lost rental - Estimated hire value missed while units were down, using each product's daily rate.
Average downtime, time to resolution, and time between downtime.
Repair spend - Parts and labour logged on work orders.
Part health over time, which parts collect the most issues, issues by location and product, remaining life on each part, and who opened the issues.
More reliable hire times - Changing dates on a booking, including extensions and reschedules, keeps the return inside your opening hours, blackout dates, and minimum and maximum booking length. A return that would land on the start of a blackout stays blocked, and the time picker resets cleanly when the selection mode changes.
Faster product photo galleries - Product cards and product pages preload the surrounding photos, so moving through a gallery does not wait on an empty frame.
Checkout reaches Stripe sooner - Checkout connects to Stripe ahead of the payment step and keeps its loading state while the new booking is attached, so there is less of a stall between Book and payment.
Edit the late emails from Preferences - Settings → Preferences has Edit emails on Late Charges and Late return prediction. It opens the matching message in Communications.
Bookings list on a phone - An empty bookings list stays in view instead of sitting off the side of the wide table, and the filter row wraps.
